About the MLT Conference

The Alabama Education Association, through its Human and Civil Rights Division, is hosting its annual Minority Leadership Training (MLT) Conference on November 4-6, 2022. This dynamic conference provides excellent professional and leadership learning opportunities for members seeking leadership positions in the Association and the education profession and is open to ALL AEA members. This year’s event returns to an in-person experience featuring dynamic speakers, special guests, and super prizes! The conference will begin on Friday, November 4, with the opening night’s conference kick-off. Saturday and Sunday will feature diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); social justice in education; cultural competence; mental health and wellness; ESP leadership; PLU sessions; cyberbullying; teaching and learning; a mock delegate assembly; and other areas of interest for all AEA leaders. We are looking forward to seeing you at the beach!

The Minority Leadership Training (MLT) Conference is open to ALL AEA members.
Yes. In order to access all conference sessions and activities, you must be registered.
Yes. For Continuing Education Units (CEUs), register on PowerSchool with Section # 454594.
Sessions to BEGIN ACLD-approved PLU studies will be offered. Online assignments are required after the conference. PowerSchool Section Numbers for PLU courses will be provided at the conference. PLU studies will end prior to the June 30, 2023, valid certification expiration date.
$50 Early Bird Fee until September 30, 2022
$65 Registration Fee until October 21, 2022
$100 Registration Fee after October 21, 2022, and On Site
