About the MLT Conference

The AEA Minority Leadership Training (MLT) Conference provides excellent professional and leadership learning opportunities for members seeking leadership positions in the Association and the education profession. This conference is open to ALL AEA members! This year’s virtual event will offer numerous live and on-demand sessions featuring dynamic speakers, special guests, and super prizes! The conference will begin on Friday, November 5, with leadership sessions for our AEA Aspiring Educators and the opening night’s conference kick-off. Saturday’s sessions will feature a full day of social emotional learning (SEL), social justice in education, cultural competence, PLU sessions, leadership, teaching and learning, and other areas of interest for all AEA leaders. Sunday will be a day of mental health and wellness and self-care.

The Minority Leadership Training (MLT) Conference is open to ALL AEA members.
Yes. In order to access all conference sessions and activities, you must be registered.
Yes. For Continuing Education Units (CEUs), register on PowerSchool with Section # 416677.
Sessions to BEGIN ACLD-approved PLU studies will be offered. Online assignments are required after the conference. PowerSchool Section Numbers for PLU courses will be provided in PLU study information. PLU studies will end prior to the June 30, 2022, valid certification expiration date.
This event is FREE for AEA members. The non-member fees are $300 for CEU credit and $500 per study for PLUs.
No. You do not need to download or install any software to participate. You only need to have access to the internet.
